- 40% of these people indicate the pain is constant and has a major impact on their lives.
- 77% of these people have experienced pain for more than a year.
- 42% of pain sufferers indicates their pain affects relationships with their spouse, family and co-workers.
Impact On The Workplace
- 35% of pain sufferers (about 420,000) missed more than 20 days of work in the past year because of pain.
- 28% of pain sufferers (about 240,000) said their pain was severe enough to impair their ability to perform their job more than 20 work days during the past year.
