I have worked for the Detroit Medical Center for the past 18+ years and have advanced during my entire tenure there. I was promoted from my hire in position of Patient Escort, to Dispatcher, to Supervisor over a single department. From there, to Supervisor over four areas of service and finally at present, to supervisor over 42 employees and a fleet of 36 vehicles servicing the entire DMC affiliation, as well as hundreds of outreach clients.

Detroit Medical Center - University Laboratories 10/96 to Present

Consolidated Courier Services Supervisor

Duties include overseeing all operations of the department including (for 42 employees) evaluations, discipline, interviewing, and hiring, terminations, scheduling, payroll and in-services. Vehicle maintenance (38 vehicles), routing and statistics, as well as daily problem solving and client interaction. Significant training in the use & maintenance of the "Resources In Motion Management Solutions" (RIMMS / Energy) routing system.

Detroit Medical Center - Hutzel Hospital 8/81 - 10/96

Transport/Materials - Information Desk, Supervisor

Same duties included under Central Transport supervisor, with the addition of all operations and employees for Information Communications department, valet services and food transport services. Responsible for the budgeting, scheduling of personnel (64 employees), supplies and equipment.

Central Transport Supervisor

Duties included overseeing of all operations of Central Transport Department, which included interviewing and hiring, scheduling, payroll, statistics concerning department, in-services and all discipline for 41 employees. During this period, I assembled "The Michigan Service Delivery Questionnaire". This included all vehicles from Hutzel main, Elenore Hutzel Center, KEI, Clinic, Social Services, taxis and buses.

Central Transport Dispatcher

Duties included receiving, recording, prioritizing and dispatching all incoming and outgoing requests for patient and materials movement.
